Lack of enough money to make ends meet is often a complaint. Even with a good job, sometimes it's hard to make ends meet, save or have money to live your ideal life. This exercise asked us to consider starting a side hustle - earning money on the side and in addition to your full-time job. If you don't know what a side hustle is, Rosetta Thurman (www.happyblackwoman.com) offers some synonyms:
  1. Part-time job

  3. Small business
  4. Side business
  5. Slash career

Those of you who know me, know that I've had a side hustle in some form or fashion all of my adult life.As a single mother, I didn't know any other way.  I am naturally good at business and my MBA helps as well. I am going to take this challenge, but instead of finding a side hustle, I want to start working on my own business that will eventually replace my full-time job. Here's how I've earned money over the years in addition to my full-time job:
  • Avon
  • Small business offering admin & business support to small business owners
  • Ballroom dance instructor
  • Zumba instructor
  • Sold clothing - Weekenders Line
I currently don't have a side hustle and it doesn't feel right, so it's time for me to focus on my next business move.
